Week 11

I want to start by thanking everyone who took time out of their nights to come meet with me for parent teacher conferences! I appreciate the support you are giving your child at home! If you were unable to meet with me but have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time! We are in this together! 

It is hard to believe that we have reached the last full week of October and are looking towards Halloween next week! This week we learned all about the shape of a square! On Monday, we finished our pumpkin Jack-o-lanterns. This are hanging up by the office if you ever get a chance to head over there. On Tuesday, we made Spookley the square pumpkin! On Wednesday, we changed out our tracing practice in our folders and are now practicing tracing zig zag lines! We are getting closer to learning how to trace our names! On Thursday, we got the playdoh out and practiced our fine motor skills of rolling the playdoh into a snake and forming it into a square! Enjoy the photos from the week! Important Things happening in October

• There is no school on Friday, October 25th or Monday, October 28th. 
• Parent lunch day is Tuesday, October 29th. We eat lunch at 10:30 am. 
• We will have our Halloween party on Thursday, October 31st. I sent an email out with some of the information. There is a flyer in your kiddo's folder that went home tonight with information about the Halloween party!

My phone is never safe when I leave it random places! But these sure do make me smile!

Week 10

Now that we have finished learning all of the colors of the rainbow, we are moving on to shapes! This week was all about the shape of a circle! On Monday, the kiddos worked on coloring a gumball machine and then adding the circle gumballs. I really had the kiddos focus on making sure their gumballs started at the bottom of the machine and stacked on top of each other like they would see in real life. On Tuesday, we made caterpillars out of circles. The kiddos had to focus on making sure that the circles of caterpillar's body touched like it would be in a real caterpillars. On Wednesday, we met up with our 8th grade buddies to head to mass! On Thursday, we painted plates to turn into pumpkins and added a green handprint for a leaf. We are going to be hanging these around our building. We even got to see a preview of the play preview of "The Little Mermaid" that some of the friends in the big school have been working hard on! If you would like to bring your family to see the play tickets are available at the door and will be running on Friday (10/18) and Saturday (10/19). On Friday, we had our fun Friday! We got a chance to watch the movie version of "The Little Mermaid" with Miss Jay and Miss Harley's friends! Enjoy the photos from the week! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Important Events in October

• I sent out our Halloween party supply volunteer list via email, Friday, October 11th. Please take a look and sign up at any time! We are still looking to fill a couple of remaining items! Thank you for helping make our first preschool party a success! • Report cards will go home on Friday, October 18th. Please sign them and return them as soon as possible! Thank you! 
• Parent teacher conference forms went home in report cards today, Friday, October 18th. If you are planning on signing up for a conference, please return this form by Monday, October 21st. This gives Mr. Veit time to schedule conferences for the whole school! Please send this form back with your youngest child! 
• Lunch reservations for last names S-Z is due by Monday, October 21st. You can email your reservation to dschrimpf@stpeterjc.org
• Parent teacher conferences will be Wednesday, October 23rd and Thursday, October 24th. 
• There will be an early out on Thursday, October 24th. There will be no after school care.
• There is no school on Friday, October 25th or Monday, October 28th. 
• Parent lunch day is Tuesday, October 29th. We eat lunch at 10:30 am. 
• We will have our Halloween party on Thursday, October 31st. I sent an email out with some of the information. I will be handing out a flyer with the same information closer to the date.
