Week of March 27th-March 31st

I feel like we have blinked and reached the last week of March already! This week our theme was baseball and we celebrate opening day! We focused on the letter Bb, the number 7, the color red and the shape of a circle. On Tuesday, we read "Good Night Baseball". During center time, we made finger print baseball laces and hand print gloves! Our dress up day was Round for home Tuesday and we wore our comfy clothes to start the week off strong and cozy! On Wednesday, we read " H is for Homerun". During center time, the kiddos made a baseball buddy. We celebrated winning Wednesday by wearing our favorite sports uniforms! On Thursday, we read "Dino-Baseball". During center time, the kiddos made pennants to support either the Cardinals or the Royals. We also celebrated our monthly praise assembly as a whole school. On Friday, we celebrated Fun Day Friday! We played games in P.E. Friday with Ms. Jay and Ms. Brittney's friends. We spent some time outside running around and playing kickball. :) I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I will see you on Monday for a short week! Enjoy the photos from the week! :)

Week of March 20th- 24th

This week our theme was Spring to welcome in the first day of Spring that was on Monday. We focused on the letter Ii, the number 6, the color yellow, and the shape of a diamond. On Monday, we read "Hail to Spring". We talked about all of the weather changes that happen in Spring including rain, hail, and wind! During center time, we made wind socks! After our afternoon recess, we went outside and tested our wind socks and watched them blow in the wind! On Tuesday, we read "There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Frog". During center time, we made our letter I is for indigo page for their alphabet books. They only have 4 pages left to complete the whole book. We took a look to see how far our book has grown since August when we made the front cover! On Wednesday, we read "Let It Rain". During center time, the kiddos colored and designed their own rain boots. Once they had created their rain boot they pour blue paint on a piece of paper and squished it around to create a puddle. On Thursday, we read "Wake Up, It's Spring". During center time, each kiddo created their own umbrellhrough tta! We got a chance to watch a preview of the 2nd through 4th grade Spring concert. On Friday, we celebrated Fun Friday with Ms. Brittney's and Ms. Jay's friends by attending Ms. Brittney's movie theater!!
