What a fun and exciting week! It is hard to believe October is already over! The months seem to be flying by! Our theme this week was Happy Halloween! During center time we made hand print bats flying in the night sky! On Tuesday, we read "Disney Princess Sweet and Spooky Halloween". During center time we made Holy Trinity Candy corn! On Wednesday, we had nonstop Halloween fun! We had a costume parade through Ms. Brittney and Mrs. Samantha's rooms and then we went trick or treating in the big school! We got to go through Vogelweid Learning Center, the cafeteria to see  the cooks and the office to see Mrs. Trachsel, Mrs. Kelly, Mrs. Carrie and Nurse Liz! We got to eat so many treats, play pass the pumpkin to win prizes and watch some Halloween shows before we took a well earned nap! On Thursday, we read "Frankencrayon". We got to play with all our fun toys and we talked about sharing and playing nicely with all our friends! Thank you to all of you that joined me at conferences! Enjoy the long weekend! Enjoy the photos from the week!

Week of October 18-22

Wow how can we be on our last full week of school for October?! This week our theme was Pumpkin Patch Party! We learned the letter Pp, the number 9, and reviewed the color orange and the shape oval! On Monday, we read "Pumpkins, Pumpkins". We practiced how we make a P with the paint dobbers and where we start forming the P. On Tuesday, We read "Pumpkins" and then we went to the pumpkin patch. I hope everyone enjoyed those photos and that they all had a great time! I know I was exhausted but the smiles on their faces were worth the exhaustion! On Wednesday, we read "The Biggest Pumpkin Ever" and we made pumpkin puzzles that spelled our names! Check them out when you come drop off or pick up as they are on the wall right next to the door! We napped really well on Wednesday due to the left over exhaustion of the pumpkin patch. On Thursday, we read "The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin". We then worked on words that began with the letter Pp. I have been focusing with them on using colors that match the objects that they are coloring and how we would see them in the world around us. We also checked to see how many pumpkins tall we were! On Friday, we read "Pumpkin Soup". We worked on our p is for pumpkin coloring sheet and taking our time and doing our best! We also celebrated wrapping up letter Pp week with pajama day and muffins! Nothing wraps a week up better than pajama day! Enjoy the photos from this week and if you haven't already go check out the last blog post with all of the photos from the pumpkin patch! Have a great weekend and I will see you all on Monday for a short week!
