Week of November 14th-17th

This week our theme was Turkeys! We focused on the letter Tt, the number 2, the shape of an oval and the color red. On Monday, we read "How to Hide a Turkey". During center time, we made turkey masks! We also talked about what sound a turkey makes compared to a chicken. :) On Tuesday, we read " A Plump and Perky Turkey". During center time, we got to make our letter T is for tape page for our alphabet book! We have a total of 11 pages complete! We also got to watch the Wild Kratts wild turkey episode and got a chance to learn new facts about the wild turkey thanks to the Kratt brothers! On Wednesday, we read " There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Turkey". During center time, we practiced our names. We started by tracing their names to work on how we form the letters in our name. Then we made a turkey with feathers that spell their names. They then counted how many letters that they had in their name! On Thursday, we read "How to Catch a Turkey". During center time, we made turkey headbands! If your child is still wanting to make their hide a turkey and bring it in they are more than welcome to bring it in on Monday or Tuesday! I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend and I will see you back on Monday for a short Thanksgiving week! Enjoy the photos from this week!

Just a reminder that it is getting to be that time of year where you are needing to send a coat, hat and gloves or mittens with your child. Our school protocol is that we will go outside to play unless the temperature and wind chill combined is below 25 degrees. We have a limited number of coats that we can have students borrowing between all four preschool classes.
