Week of March 21st-March 25th

This week our theme was Spring! We focused on our numbers 0 through 10. On Tuesday, we read the story "Wake Me in Spring". During center time, we worked on the letters in our names, focusing on the order that they go in, and how to write our name. Check out our name rainbows when you are here for drop off and/or pick up. On Wednesday, we read "Wake Up, It's Spring!". During center time we made rain boots and puddles to jump in! We did our best coloring of our rain boots and to make the rain boots we poured blue paint on the paper and folded the paper and spread the paint out. We opened the paper to reveal our puddles! These turned out so great! It was so fun to see their reactions when they unfolded their paper and saw the final result! On Thursday, we read "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Frog!". During center time, we made our very own paper plate umbrellas! On Friday, we read "A Windy Day in Spring". During center time, we got to play with playdoh! It has been a great week! Enjoy the photos and I will see you all on Monday for our last week of March!

Week of March 14th- March 18th

This week our theme was St. Patrick's Day. Our focus of the week was letter Xx, the color green, the number 4, and the shape of a circle. On Monday, we read "Pete the Cat and the Great Leprechaun Chase". During center time, we used our paint dobbers to practice forming the letter X. I also worked one on one with some of them to practice writing our name and going over the way the letters of their name are formed and identifying them. We watched a Veggietales video about who St. Patrick was.  On Tuesday, we read " How to Catch a Leprechaun". During center time, we made dot paintings of a shamrock. We also watched another video on St. Patrick and talked more about the Holy Trinity! On Wednesday, we read "The Night Before St. Patrick's Day". During center time we made lucky to have Jesus horseshoes. We got to color a shamrock with a poem about the Trinity! On Thursday, we read "The Gingerbread Man and the Leprechaun Loose in the School". We spent our morning going on a leprechaun hunt in the big school with Ms. Brittany's friends! The Lepreachaun also left us gold in our classroom and special treats in our preschool fridge! On Friday, we read "There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Clover". We got to smile pretty for our Spring pictures.  During center time we made pots of gold with a hand print rainbow! Enjoy the photos from this week! Have a great weekend and I will see you all on Tuesday!
