Week of March 14th- March 18th

This week our theme was St. Patrick's Day. Our focus of the week was letter Xx, the color green, the number 4, and the shape of a circle. On Monday, we read "Pete the Cat and the Great Leprechaun Chase". During center time, we used our paint dobbers to practice forming the letter X. I also worked one on one with some of them to practice writing our name and going over the way the letters of their name are formed and identifying them. We watched a Veggietales video about who St. Patrick was.  On Tuesday, we read " How to Catch a Leprechaun". During center time, we made dot paintings of a shamrock. We also watched another video on St. Patrick and talked more about the Holy Trinity! On Wednesday, we read "The Night Before St. Patrick's Day". During center time we made lucky to have Jesus horseshoes. We got to color a shamrock with a poem about the Trinity! On Thursday, we read "The Gingerbread Man and the Leprechaun Loose in the School". We spent our morning going on a leprechaun hunt in the big school with Ms. Brittany's friends! The Lepreachaun also left us gold in our classroom and special treats in our preschool fridge! On Friday, we read "There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Clover". We got to smile pretty for our Spring pictures.  During center time we made pots of gold with a hand print rainbow! Enjoy the photos from this week! Have a great weekend and I will see you all on Tuesday!
