Week of February 21-25

I am so sorry that I am late getting this blog posted!  Last week our theme was Olympics. Our focus for the week was the letter Oo, the number 2, the shape of a circle and the colors red, white and blue. On Tuesday, we read "Olympig". During center time we made a special Twosday crown. We also made a special keepsake to remember this special day forever! On Wednesday, we read "Snowman Paul at the Winter Olympics". During center time, we practiced making the letter O with paint dobbers and made our letter O alphabet page. Our alphabet book is so close to being done. We made our own Olympic rings! We began watching a video that Blippi made about the Olympics and then watched clips of bobsledding from this year's winter Olympics. I hope everyone had a good AMI day on Thursday! On Friday, Mrs. Angie was here to spend the short day with the class. They got to play with Play doh. Please enjoy the photos from last week. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we were able to have a full week this week!

I hope everyone had a wonderful week. This week our theme was Will you be my Valentine? Our focuses of the week were Vv, the number 6, the shape of a heart and the color pink! On Monday, we read "Pete the Cat Valentine's Day is Cool". During center time we decorated our bags to put our Valentines in for our party. We ate a special Valentines cookie outside that the cooks made!  We celebrated our Valentines party in the afternoon! On Tuesday, we read "Click Clack Moo I Love You!" During center time, we made our V alphabet book page and worked on our Valentine Bible verse wreath. We took advantage of the nice day and went outside for a little extra recess after lunch time. We also celebrate Valentine's day again in the afternoon today! For Random Act of Kindness week we all got to wear hats! On Wednesday, we read "Valentine Mice!"
