Week 16

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving break filled with family, friends and food!

On Monday, we had preschool's own version of the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade throughout our school. We got to be the turkeys in the parade. The kiddos colored turkey feathers and helped glue on their turkey face to their costumes! It was fun to watch how excited they got to parade around the big school and show off their costumes. On Tuesday, we watched Charlie Brown Thanksgiving as a whole preschool. It was a great short week! Enjoy the photos from the week! I will see you all on Monday! Happy Thanksgiving!

Week 15

Hard to believe that we just completed our last full week of November! On Monday, I had some friends finish up their rectangle turkeys from last week! These are hanging on our windows in our classroom. Check them out at drop off or pick up! On Tuesday, we made handprint turkey placemats for Thanksgiving! The kiddos are currently practicing tracing their names! They have made so much progress from the beginning of the year! I am proud to see how far these kiddos are already coming in just a couple of months of school! On Wednesday, we went to church with our 8th grade buddies. These kiddos are getting really good at sitting nicely through church and following their buddies directions! On Thursday, I had the kids help me write how to cook a turkey for Thanksgiving. I hope you all enjoy this little project as much as I do! These really make me giggle! On Friday, we had our fun and fitness Friday! We played our color bean bag relay for the last time before we switch to a new game after break. I hope everyone has a great weekend! I will see you all on Monday! Enjoy the photos from the week.

We will be celebrating all things Thanksgiving the last two days before Thanksgiving break and working on sharing. We are asking that all preschoolers bring in their favorite snack to share and make a big preschool Thanksgiving feast. Thank you for your help in learning all about the joy of sharing and Thanksgiving.

Just a reminder that it is important to switch out your child's spare clothes to winter clothes in case of an accident they will have weather appropriate clothes. We have a limit supply of extra clothes here for each season.

I have kept red bags at school this weekend due to next week being a short week!

Week 14

Thank you so much to everyone for participating in our disguise a turkey family project! I loved seeing all of the creativity you all had! If you have not checked these out yet, they are hanging in the hallway between our classroom and Miss Jay's.

On Monday, we started our day celebrating Veteran's day with the whole school at an assembly! I am so proud of how nicely these little friends sat to honor those who have fought for our country and continue to fight! We worked on tracing rectangles and then practiced coloring them! On Tuesday, we talked about Thanksgiving and what it means to be thankful. Each kiddo got a chance to color two hearts and tell me what is something they are thankful for. Check these out as there were some pretty special answers. They are hanging on the wall. On Wednesday, my kiddos who were not here on Tuesday got to make their thankful hearts. On Thursday, we used the shape of a rectangle to make a turkey body and rectangle turkey feathers. On Friday, we had fun and fitness Friday. We played our bean bag color sorting game. We finished some more rectangle turkeys. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I will see you all on Monday for our last full week before Thanksgiving break. Enjoy the photos from the week! Sorry there are not as many as normal! It was hard to work on the projects with the kiddos and take photos this week!

As the weather has changed and we are wearing more jackets and coats, please work with your little one at home with independently putting on their jacket and zipping it. Independence is a big step of preschool and this helps me a ton when students are working on putting their jackets on by themselves.
