Week 7



























On Monday, we learned the letter Ll. This week we are continuing to work our way through our alphabet sticker book! We switched small groups this week. In Miss Jay's group, she worked on fine motor skills through ripping paper and pulling up tape. In my group, I worked on fine motor skills through q tip painting. In Miss Kaia's group is working on taking turns and sharing! On Tuesday, we learned the letter Mm. On Wednesday, we learned the letter Nn. Each month, I do a letter assessment to see how they students are growing throughout the year. I started these on Wednesday! I am so proud of all of the progress I have seen the kiddos make! On Thursday, the kids got to spend the day with Mrs. Betsy while I was gone and they learned the letter Oo. On Friday, we had Fun Friday with P.E, where we played clean your room. We also learned the letter Pp. Enjoy the photos from the week! I will see you all on Tuesday! 

I sent home permission slips for our annual pumpkin patch field trip today. We will be going to Rhymer's Ridge on Friday, October 17th. If you would like to join us on the trip, you will meet us at Rhymer's Ridge that day at noon. We ask that you do not bring younger siblings on this trip with us. If you do plan on joining us, it is required that you have completed your Virtus training. Permission slips will be due back no later than Friday, October 3rd. Reach out with any questions or concerns that you may have! 

 Important Dates in September and October

  • There is no school on Monday, September 29th.
  • Parent lunch day L-R is Wednesday, October 1st. 
  • Doughnuts with Dad is in Selinger Gym on the morning of Friday, October 3rd. 
  • First quarter ends on Friday, October 10th. 
  • Early our on Tuesday, October 14th at 1:15 PM. There is no aftercare.
  • We will be going to mass on Wednesday, October 15th. Please try and have your child here by 7:45.
  • Picture retakes are on Thursday, October 16th. 
  • We will be going to Rhymer's Ridge on Friday, October 17th. Permission slips went out today! 
  • Report Cards will go home on Friday, October 17th. 
  • Make lunch reservations for last names S-Z by Monday, October 20th. You can make a reservation by emailing dschrimpf@stpeterjc.org how many parents will be attending. 
  • I will be gone for a training on Tuesday, October 21st. 
  • Parent teacher conferences will be on Wednesday, October 22 and Thursday, October 23rd. 
  • We will dismiss at 1:15 pm on Thursday, October 23rd. 
  • No school on Friday, October 24th. 
  • No school on Monday, October 27th. 
  • Parent lunch day S-Z will be on Wednesday, October 29th. 
  • Halloween Parties will be on Friday, October 31st. More information to come at a later date.

Week 6

On Tuesday, we learned the letter Hh. During center time, we worked on our sticker alphabet page. On Wednesday, we went to our first whole school mass of the year with our 8th grade buddies. I am so proud of how well these kiddos did during mass! We also learned the letter Ii. On Thursday, we learned the letter Jj. On Friday, we had Fun Friday with preschool and played clean your room. We also had a visit from El Puente, the Hispanic Ministry here in Jefferson City, and they did a presentation on Hispanic Heritage month for our preschoolers. We got to try Pan Dulce and guava and danced with maracas! We cannot thank El Puente enough for coming and teaching us all about the Hispanic Heritage. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
