This week our theme was farming! On Monday, we learned the letter Kk. During center time, the kids practiced tracing the letters of their name and naming the letters. They then placed their letter eggs under a chicken that they got to color. On Tuesday, we learned the letter Ll. During center time, each kid got a chance to practice their fine motor skills and rip some black paper to make a cow. On Wednesday, we learned the letter Mm. During center time, the kids painted the fur of a sheep using a pom pom on a clothes pin. We also were able to use the bingo dobbers to create the letter M. On Thursday, we learned the letter Nn. During center time, the kids worked on using the bingo dobbers to create the letter N. They also practiced tracing their names and I had them try and write the first letter of their name on their own. For fun Friday, we spent what could be one of our last nice days (fingers crossed its not🤣) outside playing on the playground for an extra recess and drawing in chalk. The kids also colored a pig to wrap up our farm week! I hope everyone has a great weekend! I will see you all on Monday! Enjoy the photos from the week!
Just a reminder, please send jackets or sweatshirts with your child every day as we do go outside for recess even when it is a little chilly!
Also please make sure you have changed your child's extra clothes to weather appropriate clothes! That way if they do have an accident or a spill they are able to stay warm in their clothes as the preschool is limited on the spare clothes that we have! Thank you!
Important Events in November
- Early out on Tuesday, November 11th at 1:15. No after school care.
- Veteran's day assembly is on Tuesday, November 11th. Please have your child wear red, white or blue that day!
- The family disguise a turkey project will be due on Friday, November 14th. This is an optional project that will be displayed in our preschool hallway between our classroom and Miss Jay's.
- The musical will be on Friday, November 14th and Saturday, November 15th.
- We will be going to mass on Wednesday, November 19th. Please have your child here by 7:45 so we are able to get ready and go to the bathroom prior to heading to mass!
- Our monthly praise assembly will be on Friday, November 21st.
- No school Monday, November 24th through Friday, November 28th for Thanksgiving Break.
