Week of September 7th-10th

 I hope everyone had a great long weekend! This week our focuses were on the letter Tt, the number 3, the shape of a triangle and the color yellow! Our theme for the week was all about me! On Tuesday, we read the story "Chrysanthemum". We got to make another page of our alphabet book that we are working on making as we learn a new letter each week. This week we made T is for tape and got to put all sorts of fun tape on our letter T. We also got to use the paint dobbers to trace the letter T. On Wednesday we read the book "A Porcupine Named Fluffy!". We got to work on our name and the letters that make up our name! Their activity that they worked on with me was crayon rubbing their name! They put a piece of paper over another piece of paper that had hot glue tracing of their name! Thursday morning we had an exciting start to our morning when Miss Brittney caught a frog that one of our friends found on the way into school! On Thursday, We read "The Name Jar". We got to practice tracing our names again! We also got to make our name appear by using watercolor on a piece of white paper! I loved getting to see their excitement as they "woke up" the hidden letters on the page and discovered it was their name! We also talked about germs in science class and how we get sick if we share germs! On Friday, we read "All About Me!". We made a turtle with the letter Tt on his shell! We continued to talk about germs and how to keep ourselves and our friends healthy this year in science! Enjoy the photos from this week! Have a great weekend! I will see you all on Monday!

Week of August 30th- September 3rd

 Another great week is in the books! We did so much this week! Our theme this week was "We are family!" We talked about our families and how we are one big class family at school! We focused on the letter Ss, the shape of a square, the color of orange, and the number 2! On Monday, we read two stories! We read "Who's In My Family?" and "Our Class is a Family"! We got to draw a picture of our family and Mrs. Nikki helped us write about our families! I had a blast on Monday celebrating my birthday with my friends here at school! On Tuesday, we read "Clifford's Family" and talked about who was in his family and compared them to our families. We got to practice tracing and even tried writing it on our own our letter of the week! On Wednesday, we read "The Family Book". We also got to work more with the letter Ss and we did this by tracing dobbers! On Thursday, we read "This is My Family". We began building our alphabet book that we are going to take home once we create a page for each letter!  On Thursday we made our S is for straw page by gluing straws to our page. On Friday, we read "A Visit to Grandma's". We also got to color and create a home that is filled with our family members! We also spent the week learning about Noah's Ark. We watched a video on the story of Noah's ark, read the story from the Beginner's Bible and got to color a picture of Noah's ark! There were even friends who built Noah's ark out of magnet tiles during center time! Enjoy the photos from this week! Don't forget there is no school on Monday, September 6th. After Care

 Hello families!

Starting this week, our friends in after care will being going outside for another recess for about a half an hour at the beginning of after care. If you could please come into the building and gather your students belongings and then pick them up and sign them out at the playground that would be greatly appreciated!

What we did this week (August 23rd-August 27th)

 What a great first full week of preschool we had this week! We spent the week learning our ABC's, the color red, the shape circle and the number 1! We practiced singing our alphabet all week long with so many different alphabet songs! On Monday, we practice a fire drill with the whole school! We read "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" and even created our own book to see all of the friends in our classroom! We are going to keep it in our classroom library to look at! On Tuesday, we practiced a tornado drill! We read "LMNO Peas". We got to decorate the first letter of our name for our chicka chicka boom boom tree! On Wednesday, we read "Alphabet Adventure". We made chicka chicka boom boom hats! On Thursday, we got to smile pretty for the camera and got our school picture taken! There are going to be a lot of adorable preschool photos! We also read "Walk and See ABC"! We got to make chicka chicka boom boom trees with our handprints and had the letters of our name in the tree! On Friday, we read "Eating the Alphabet Fruits and Vegetables A to Z". Today we got to play with playdough. We practiced rolling the playdough into snakes then we bent the snakes to fit the letter of our first name! We even got to paint plates to look like the alphabet caterpillar like we saw in the alphabet song from Cocomelon! This was their idea and I was on board making their idea come true to help us learn our alphabet and decorate our classroom! We got to watch Frozen 2 before nap and during our recess that we had inside to celebrate a fun Friday and making it through our first full week of preschool! Enjoy the photos from this week!
