Week 9

This week was all about the rainbow! On Monday, we finished up working on our spiders that we started last week. We added the eyes and the legs to the spider! These are hanging on the door in the hallway behind our room and Miss Jay's. On Tuesday, we worked on building a rainbow. We started with the biggest semi circle and continued until we had the whole rainbow built. Check these out as they are hanging on the wall by our classroom door. On Wednesday, I worked on report card assessments with each kiddo to see how far they have grown from the first month of school when I did their initial assessments. On Thursday, we read "Rainbow Fish". We talked all about sharing and how it is important to share in order to be happy and have our friends want to play with us. During center time, we worked on coloring their very own rainbow fish with a sparkly scale! For fun Friday, we walked up to the Capitol for P.E. to practice our tossing! They are starting to get really good at focusing on tossing underhand! I hope everyone has a great weekend! I will see you all on Monday! Enjoy the photos from the week!

Week 8

L

Hard to believe that we have already entered October! This week we learned all about the color PURPLE! On Tuesday, we made our hand print craft of the week and made purple grapes! Check these out as they are hanging on our classroom windows! This week we started our first week of classroom jobs and are learning all about what each job is responsible for! On Wednesday, we painted our octopus purple! We talked about how many legs an octopus has and later added the eyes and the legs to the body! On Thursday, we made splatter paint spiders to add to the decorations in our preschool building! The paintings started by squeezing some black paint onto a piece of paper, folding it and smooshing the paint around! Once it was dried, we got to add 8 eyes to our spiders! We also went on a walk to look for all of the colors that we have learned so far with Miss Jay's friends. We walked all around the Capitol! On Friday, we started our fun and fitness Friday with our normal P.E. but ended our afternoon with a fun filled field trip to the pumpkin patch! Thank you to all who joined us on our adventure. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and I will see you all on Monday to wrap up our colors and celebrate rainbow week! Enjoy the photos from the week!
