Week of November 1-5

It is November! This week our theme was "Leaves are falling down". We focused on the letter Ll, the number 10, the shape of a rhombus and reviewed the color yellow. On Monday, we read "Autumn Leaves are Falling Down". We practiced the letter L with our paint dobbers and focusing on where to start forming our letter L. On Tuesday, we read "We're Going on a Leaf Hunt". We focused on coloring pictures of words that begin with the letter L. We are trying to work on realistic coloring. Before we color we talk about what color the objects on our paper are and look at real picture of them on the smart board. On Wednesday, we read "Leaves are Falling One by One". In small group on Wednesday, we caught up on our alphabet book pages that we had fallen behind on. They got to run around and grab leaves to glue onto our L page of the week. On Thursday, we read "Leaf Trouble". In small group, we colored leaves that we are going to be using for our thankful tree in the next couple of weeks! On Friday we read "Fall Leaves: Colorful and Crunchy". In small group we had fun day Friday and got to play with playdoh. They started by forming the letter of their first name and then they got to play with some of the playdoh toys! This was a big hit. Below is the list of upcoming events in November! Have a great weekend! Enjoy the photos from the week! I will see you all on Monday for a short week!
