Week of January 24- January 28th

We made it through our first full week of school in a while! This week our theme was Winter. We worked on the letter Ww, the number 8, the shape of a star and the color grey. On Monday, we began reading "Wonderful Winter". During center time, we made birthday cards and a banner for Mr. Richard to celebrate his birthday. After last recess, we had a surprise birthday party for Mr. Richard with Ms. Brittney's class! We even watched the highlight of the Chiefs game upon request from some of my friends! On Tuesday, we finished reading "Wonderful Winter". During center time, we worked on our letter W with paint dobbers and our w alphabet page! On Wednesday, we read "Animals in Winter". During center time we got to create our very own pair of mittens. On Thursday, we read "Wild Winter Creatures!". During center time we made our very own snowflakes to celebrate the snowflakes falling outside. On Friday, we read "Winter Weather". During center time, the students got to practice their writing in the "snow" aka shaving cream. We also got the playdoh out as part of "fun day Friday"! We wrapped up Winter week by watching "Frozen" before and after nap time! There was a list of activities and dress up days for Catholic Schools Week in their mailboxes today (Friday). Enjoy the photos from the week! I will see you all on Monday for a fun week of Catholic schools week!
