Week of April 1st-5th

Wow! Happy April preschool families! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and stayed safe in those crazy storms that popped up during Spring break! It is hard to believe that we are entering our last full month of preschool and have only 30 school days left!! Where has this year gone?! This week we focused on Easter and learned all about the true meaning behind Easter! On Thursday, we read "God Gave Us Easter". During center time, the kiddos colored a paper egg with a white crayon and then used water color paint to make their design show up! It took a lot of convincing to them that their design would show up since I have told them before that white crayon doesn't work on white paper. :) On Friday, we smiled pretty for our Spring pictures. We spent the morning going on a letter Easter egg hunt with Miss Jay's friends. Once we found an egg on the playground, we took it back to the classroom and matched the capital letter to the lower case letter. Before nap, we worked together with Miss Jay's friends to make bunny bait snack. Everyone got a chance to work together to make one part of the snack. We even made some extra to ask our 8th grade buddies if they would like to make it again with us sometime soon! Today was a great way to wrap up our short week back from break! Important Dates in April

• April 8th is an early dismissal at 12:00 pm. There will be no after school care! 
• April 9th is an early dismissal! There will be no after school care. 
• April 16th will be our walking field trip to Yoyums. Please send in $3-4 to enjoy our treat. We will be going with Miss Jay's friends! If the weather is not in our favor that day, we will reschedule! 
• April 16th is parent lunch day for last names F-K.
• April's praise assembly in on April 26th. 
• April 30th is parent lunch day for last names L-R.
