We officially have made it through our first full week of preschool! I am so proud of how far our friends have come! This week we spent the week learning all about the abcs! On Monday, we listened to a story called "Chicka, Chicka, Boo, Boom". During center time, I worked with each kiddo on coloring a palm tree and stamping the letters of their name. On Tuesday, we read "Alpha Oops". During center time, I finished working one on one with students on making their coconut trees. On Wednesday, we read "Alphabet Mystery". During center time, I gave each kiddo a coloring page to color so we are able to compare their beginning of the year coloring to their end of the year coloring and see just how much progress they have made! On Thursday, we read "Dr. Seuss ABC Book". During center time, I worked one on one with each kiddo to see what letters they knew! I will assess them monthly on their letter knowledge to see how they continue to grow this school year! On Friday, we celebrated our first Fun and Fitness Friday! Each Friday, preschool will have P.E. and spend the day doing fun activities to wrap up a week full of learning! Today, we practiced what a fire drill will look like and sound like! We played duck, duck, goose as a whole preschool and wrapped up the morning having popsicles to celebrate making it through our first week of preschool. If you have not already sent in your family picture, please do so soon! I want to get these hung up in our room! They are a big help for friends who might be missing mom or dad while we are at school!
Important Events Coming Up:
- Ready Pop fundraiser will begin Friday, August 23rd and will go until Friday, September 6th.
- Parent lunch reservations need to be made by Monday, August 26th for families with the last names A-E. You can email your reservation to dschrimpf@stpeterjc.org
- Our first praise assembly will be Friday, August 30th.
