Week 4

This week was all about the color ORANGE! We talked about all things orange and even came up with a list of things that we know that are orange! We read books all about the color orange. We made tigers out of our handprints on Tuesday during center time. Check these out as they are hanging on our classroom windows!  On Wednesday, we used q tips to paint a pumpkin orange! On Thursday and Friday, we worked on our fine motors skills that are going to help us down the line to correctly hold crayons and pencils! We worked on fine motor skills by ripping up orange paper to make an orange! The kiddos worked on ripping a large piece of construction paper into smaller pieces and then filling their whole plate with the orange paper. For P.E. today, we practiced our obstacle course and played a couple games of duck, duck, goose! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! After School Care Parking:

It has come to our attention that the State has been issuing tickets for those parking in the State lot when picking up from After Care. So until further notice, only park there at your own risk. You may park in the teacher's lot across from the Capitol. Please DO NOT come onto the big flat where kids are playing. You will have to go around the Sellinger Center and down the alley.

We realize this is not the most convenient, but we are working on a solution. Thank you for your patience

Important events coming up:

• Lunch reservations for last names F-K need to be made by Monday, September 9th. You can email your reservation to dschrimpf@stpeterjc.org
• Tuesday, September 10th is an early dismissal. We release at 1:15. There is no after care on early dismissal days!
• We will begin the 15 and the Mahomies reading challenge on Tuesday, September 10th. More information to come in an email on Monday! 
• Flu shot forms are due back on Monday, September 16th if you would like your child to receive their flu shot. 
• Free kids sight screening on Tuesday, September 17th. Please return the form that was sent home on Wednesday if you would like your child to participate.
