Week 20 and 21

Welcome back everyone! I hope everyone had a great break and little extended break we had. I hope everyone stayed safe during the big storm. It was great to see all of my little friends again.

Between this week and last week, we focused on the letter Dd. On Thursday, the kids practice tracing their names, as this is something we are going to work towards writing their names without tracing it by the end of the year. If you would like to practice tracing our child's name at home, you can writing in highlighter or light colored marker and have them trace over it. This is very similar to how we do it here at school. We started our list of words that begin with the letter Dd. On Tuesday, we worked on tracing our name and a capital and lower case Dd while working on staying inside the lines while coloring. On Wednesday, the kiddos worked on one to one correspondence while tracing a letter Dd using bingo dobbers. On Thursday, we worked on making handprint masks for the Big Bucks decorations. If you are attending Big Bucks, look out for our masks as decorations. On Friday, we celebrated our first Fun and Fitness Friday in awhile! During P.E., we refreshed our memories on the game that we were playing before break called clean your room! I hope everyone has a great weekend! I will see you all on Tuesday! Enjoy the photos from the week!

Important Dates in January:

  • No school on Monday, January 20th.
  • We will be going to church on Wednesday, January 22. Please make sure that your child is here by 7:45 so we are able to get them through the bathroom and over to the big school to meet our 8th grade buddies!
  • Catholic Schools Week will begin on Sunday January 26th and run through February 1st.
  • Preschool registration went home this week. If you are planning on registering your child for preschool next year, please return the form by January 31st. After that the registration will open up to the big school and church parishioners!
