Week of December 6-December 10th

This week our theme was Gingerbread Man. Our focuses of the week was the letter Mm, the number 14, the color brown and the shape of a heart. On Monday we read "The Gingerbread Man Loose at Christmas". During center time I had students with me one on one seeing what they have learned since the last time that I had assessed them. We also talked about St. Nicholas and we left our shoes out in the hallway during naptime. We woke up with candy canes in  our shoes! On Tuesday, we read "Gingerbread Christmas". We made our very own gingerbread man using glitter, beads and eyes! They all turned out so cute! Check them out on our classroom door! On Wednesday we read "How to Catch a Gingerbread Man". During center time I did so more assessing to see how they have grown over the last couple of months. On Thursday we read "The Gingerbread Pirates". During center time we used the paint dobbers to work on the letter M. We also added our second purple candle to our paper advent wreaths that are hanging on our windows! On Friday we read "Gingerbread Baby". During center time we worked on coloring our words that begin with the letter Mm. We are still working on coloring taking our time and using the correct colors! I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will see you all on Monday!
