Week of December 13-17th

What a fun week that we had! Thank you to everyone who brought in snacks and drinks for our different celebration days! We started off with Grinch day on Monday! We had green snacks and watched the Grinch. We also did a science experiment and watched the Grinch's heart grow three sizes like in the book! On Tuesday, we celebrated Jesus's birthday with cupcakes and sang Him happy birthday. We also got to watch the movie "The Star", which is an animated movie that talks about the journey to Bethlehem from the point of view of the donkey that carried Mary. On Wednesday, we wore our cozy Christmas socks. We worked on our special projects that came home wrapped up for parents on Friday! We also got to decorate sugar cookies! On Thursday, we celebrated ugly Christmas sweater day, although we had some pretty adorable sweaters in our classroom! We also sang our song at the Capitol! I am so proud with how well they sang and performed for everyone there! We even got to have a picnic in our classroom when we came back! We watched Frosty and wrapped our Christmas presents! On Friday, we celebrated our Christmas party with all of our friends. We also joined the big school in their Christmas caroling! We watched Polar Express and drank hot chocolate and ate cookies! I know I had a lot of fun celebrating Christmas this week with these little ones! It is so fun to see the excitement of Christmas through their eyes! These little ones have done a great job on focusing on the true meaning of Christmas this week being the birth of Jesus! Enjoy the photos from this week! I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas and a happy new year! I will see you all on January 4th to began 2022!
