Week of January 3-7th

Welcome back! It was so good to see all of their smiling face this week! This week our theme was New Year! We focused on the letter Yy, the number 12, the shape of a circle and the color yellow. On Tuesday, we read Happy New Year, Pooh!. During center time we worked on our paint dobber letter Y. On Wednesday, we read "The Night Before New Year's". During center time we made handprint fireworks to celebrate the new year. On Thursday, we read "Squirrel's New Year's Resolution". During center time we worked on our letter Y page for our alphabet book. Our Yy page is Y is for yarn! Our alphabet books are growing every week with all of the letters that we have learned! I cannot wait to see the final product after we have learned all our letters this year! On Friday, we read "Happy New Year Puggie". During center time we our very own wishing wands! We started making wishes on what we hope will happen this year. We also got to watch the ball drop. Just a little heads up as the weather is getting colder. We will go outside if the feels like temperature is 25 degrees or higher. Please make sure that you are sending coat, hat, and gloves or mittens with your child everyday.
