This week we focused on the theme of flowers and butterflies! We spent the week focusing on numbers again! On Monday, we read "Seed to Plant". During center time, we made our very own coffee filter flowers! Check them out as they are hanging on our window in our classroom. On Tuesday, we read "Busy Butterfly". During center time, we colored coffee filters to make the wings of a butterfly. Once we were done coloring the coffee filter we sprayed them with water and let them dry! Once they were all dry, we clipped them into the butterfly body! On Wednesday, we read "Five Tough and Tiny Seeds". During center time, I worked with each student on their name. We focused on the letters in their name, building their name and tracing their name! On Thursday, we read "Butterfly Life Cycle". During center time, we made splat paint butterflies! They all did a great job of picking bright beautiful colors that went together really well! On Friday, we read "Planting Seeds". During center time, we got to play with play doh! Our class and Ms. Brittney's class played a prank on Mr. Richard to celebrate April fool's day! We told him water was coming out of the bathroom but it was just our water bottles! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and I will see you all on Monday! Next week our theme will be baseball to celebrate opening day on Thursday! I sent home a list of dress up days today for next week to celebrate the fun!
