This week our theme was "Let's Go To The Beach". We focused on reviewing all of the letters, numbers, colors and shapes that we have learned this year! On Monday, we read "Splat The Cat: Fishy Tales". During center time, the kiddos showed me what they have learned this school year through our final assessments. On Tuesday, we read "Commotion in the Ocean". During center time, we worked on our Mother's Day projects and I helped the students fill out an information sheet all about Mom. I got quite a chuckle with some of their answers! On Wednesday, we read "Splat the Cat: A Whale of a Tale". During center time, the kiddos made their summer "bucket" list. We celebrated beach day by watching Moana with Ms. Jay and Ms. Brittney's friends! They started by coloring their bucket and shovel and then I helped them add a couple of things that they are hoping to do this summer! We also put the final touches on our mother's day gifts! On Thursday, we read " There Was An Old Mermaid Who Swallowed a Shark". During center time, each kid got a chance to color a thank you card for one of the preschool teachers! On Friday, we celebrated our last fun and fitness Friday of the school year! We played on the playground, colored with chalk, played basketball and tether ball. We cheered on the eight graders as they headed onto their promotion ceremony. We got a chance to watch "Letter Factory" with Ms. Jay's friends as we all reviewed the letters that we learned this school year. I unfortunately did not get as many pictures this week as we were working on our secret Mother's day gifts and assessing! I hope everyone has a great weekend! I will see you all on Monday for our last week of school! That seems so crazy to say! Have a great weekend!
