This week our theme was Sweet Treats! We focused on the letters Qq and Uu, the number 2, the color brown and the shape of a rectangle. On Monday, we read "If You Give A Mouse A Brownie". During center time, the kiddos made pom pom gumball machines! We had two special snacks of s'mores and popsicles. We went out on the big flat to celebrate Mrs. Trachsel and Mr. Veit for National Principal's Day. On Tuesday, we read "If You Give A Dog A Donut". During center time, we completed our alphabet book that they have made all school year! Our special snacks for the day were mini doughnuts and walked to Yoyums! It was so fun to watch their excitement as they walked to get their special treat! On Wednesday, we read " If You Give A Moose A Muffin". During center time, we focused on the letter Qq and made their letter Q bracelets. Our special treats for the day were fruit pizza and walking desserts! On Thursday, we read "If You Give A Pig A Pancake". Duirng center time, we made thank you cards to give to our amazing lunch helpers! Our special snacks for the day were pancakes and cookies that we got to decorate! On Friday, we wrapped up sweet treat week with our fun and fitness Friday! We took our sweet treat theme and turned it into a challenge! We learned that with gravity what goes up, must come down! We put whip cream on a spoon and threw up in the air and tried to catch it in our mouth! Once we all got two chances, we took to the school to see if some of the teachers and staff were up for our sweet treat challenge! We challenged Mr. Veit, Ms. Mckenzie, Mr. Richard, our wonderful lunch heroes, Mrs. Hasty, Mrs. Brauner, Mr. Rockers, Mr. Jacob, Mrs. Schaefer, Mrs. Erin and Mrs. Shimmens! Our special snacks were strawberry shortcake and Italian ice that was provided by the Starr family and their new business RJ's Real Italian Ice here in Jefferson City! Make sure you check them out! I enjoyed sweet treat so much and I hope that they all did too! Thank you so much to everyone who donated items to help make our different sweet treats this week! Enjoy the photos from this week! I will see you all on Monday for our last full week of Preschool! (That seems so crazy to say!)
