Week of February 26th-March 1st

What a crazy weather week we had! Its also hard to believe that we have already reached March! This week we celebrated all things Dr. Seuss! We learned the letter Dd, the number 3,  the color blue, and the shape of a rectangle. On Monday, we celebrated pajama day and read "Green Eggs and Ham". During center time, the kiddos colored green eggs and finished the sentence, I would not eat them__. Check them out as they are hanging on the windows in our classroom. On Tuesday, it was team blue versus team red and we read "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish". During center time, I painted their hands red and blue and we made red and blue fish with their handprints. On Wednesday, we read "The Foot Book" and showed off our silly socks. We spent the morning walking around the classroom in just our socks! During center time, I started working with the students one on one to assess how they are doing as we are wrapping up the 3rd quarter here in a couple of weeks. On Thursday, we wore our animal prints and favorite animals and we read "Oh, The Places You'll Go" and during center time, the kiddos got to color their very own hot air balloon and finished the sentence "When I grow up I want to be_____". I always love hearing all of the fun things they want to be when they grow up. We also celebrated our monthly praise assembly with the big school. On Friday, we had our Fun Friday and wore our hats to celebrate Cat in the Hat and wrap up Dr. Seuss week. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I will see you all on Monday! Enjoy the photos from the week!
