Week 18

December seems to be flying by already! On Monday, our Helias helper helped paint hands to look like Christmas trees and in the afternoon we got a chance to decorate them! On Tuesday, we made a snowman family snow globe with their handprints! On Wednesday, we worked on a super secret Christmas project! I hope that no one spilled the beans on what it is! :) On Thursday, we listened to 7th grade read us some Christmas stories with Miss Jay's class! This was so fun to get to interact with some of the big friends that we do not usually get to see! On Friday, we wrapped up our last full week of school before break watching "The Star" with Miss Jay and Miss Harley's friends! We watched the 8th graders do the St. Lucy parade through the big school and they gave us doughnuts to celebrate. We even had a sleepover in Miss Jay's room during naptime! I hope everyone has a great weekend! I will see you all on Monday for our short week! Enjoy the photos from the week! Sorry there are not as much as normal. I did not want to ruin the big surprise we worked on this week! 

Just a reminder if you would like to send in an ornament for our Christmas tree you are more than welcome to send them in at any time. I will return them to you on the last day of school before break! 

If you send in your child's $5 gift, please give me a heads up so I do not pull it out in front of the kiddos! Also if you are unable to do so, please let me know so I am able to plan accordingly. If you have not turned this in yet, please do so on Monday!

Just a reminder for anyone who has been reading and logging their books for the 15 and the Mahomies Reading Challenge, this will be due on the last day of school before break (Wednesday, December 15th) so I am able to submit them!

Christmas Dress Up Days for Preschool and the Big School:

• Monday, December 16th- Christmas sweater day
• Tuesday, December 17th- Pajama Day
• Wednesday, December 18th- Christmas Shirt/Sweater or Christmas colors day!

 Important dates in December

• Praise assembly for December will be on Tuesday, December 17th. 
• We will be having an early dismissal on Wednesday, December 18th at 1:15 PM for Christmas break. There is no after school care. 
• We will be having our classroom Christmas party on December 18th. 
• Christmas break will run from December 19th through January 3rd.
