Week 8

Happy October everyone! Hopefully fall weather will be in the air soon! :)  On Tuesday, we learned the letter Qq. I started their report card assessments this week! I am so proud of the progress that these kids have made in just the first couple months of school! On Tuesday, we started new small group themes. If your child is with Miss Jay this month, they will be working on social emotional learning! In Miss Kaia's group, they are continuing to work on all types of play skills including asking friends to play, taking turns and winning and losing in board games. In my small group, I am continuing to focus on fine motor skills to help us with our pencil grip down the road. On Wednesday, we learned the letter Rr. I continued to assess the students on what they have learned so far this school year! On Thursday, we learned the letter Ss. On Friday, we had Fun Friday!!! We got a chance to enjoy the nice morning with an extra recess for P.E. today!  I hope everyone has a great weekend! I will see you all on Monday! Enjoy the photos from the week! 

Important Dates in October

• First quarter ends on Friday, October 10th. 
• Early out on Tuesday, October 14th at 1:15 PM. There is no aftercare.
• We will be going to mass on Wednesday, October 15th. Please try and have your child here by 7:45.
• Picture retakes are on Thursday, October 16th. 
• We will be going to Rhymer's Ridge on Friday, October 17th. If you could also let us know who will be attending the pumpkin patch with your child we would greatly appreciate it so we have a count! Thank you! 
• Report Cards will go home on Friday, October 17th. 
• Parent Teacher Conference sign up forms will go home on Friday, October 17th. Please have those returned by Monday, October 20th so Mr. Veit is able to schedule all of the conferences.
• Make lunch reservations for last names S-Z by Monday, October 20th. You can make a reservation by emailing dschrimpf@stpeterjc.org how many parents will be attending. 
• I will be gone for a training on Tuesday, October 21st. 
• Parent teacher conferences will be on Wednesday, October 22 and Thursday, October 23rd. 
• We will dismiss at 1:15 pm on Thursday, October 23rd. 
• No school on Friday, October 24th. 
• Book orders for October are due Friday, October 24th. 
• No school on Monday, October 27th. 
• Parent lunch day S-Z will be on Wednesday, October 29th. 
• Halloween Parties will be on Friday, October 31st. More information to come at a later date.
