Week 9

This week was all about Community Helpers! On Monday, we learned the letter Uu. We worked on our alphabet sticker book! Everyone got a chance to share what they wanted to be when they grow up! I love seeing what they all think they want to be at this age! On Tuesday, we learned the letter Vv. We colored thank you cards for a firefighter who came and visited us! We got to go on a nature walk with our 8th grade bu ddies to help them relax after a stressful morning of state testing! That afternoon, we had a firefighter come visit all of preschool to talk to us about fire safety, show us his gear and hang out with us! On Wednesday, we learned the letter Ww. We got a chance to spend the day with some of Miss Harley's friends in our classroom! We spent the morning playing with her friends and in the afternoon we had one big preschool movie day in our classroom. On Thursday, we learned the letter Xx. We started making community helper puppets. On Friday, we had our fun Friday! We learned a new game for P.E. We are learning to toss underhand! We got to toss bean bags into the circle in the middle of the gym. We also learned about the letter Yy. I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will see you all on Monday! Important Dates in October

• Early out on Tuesday, October 14th at 1:15 PM. There is no aftercare.
• We will be going to mass on Wednesday, October 15th. Please try and have your child here by 7:45.
• Picture retakes are on Thursday, October 16th. 
• We will be going to Rhymer's Ridge on Friday, October 17th. If you could also let us know who will be attending the pumpkin patch with your child we would greatly appreciate it so we have a count! Thank you! 
• Report Cards will go home on Friday, October 17th. Please sign and return as soon as possible!
• Parent Teacher Conference sign up forms will go home on Friday, October 17th. Please have those returned by Monday, October 20th so Mr. Veit is able to schedule all of the conferences.
• Make lunch reservations for last names S-Z by Monday, October 20th. You can make a reservation by emailing dschrimpf@stpeterjc.org how many parents will be attending. 
• I will be gone for a training on Tuesday, October 21st. 
• Parent teacher conferences will be on Wednesday, October 22 and Thursday, October 23rd. 
• We will dismiss at 1:15 pm on Thursday, October 23rd. 
• No school on Friday, October 24th. 
• Book orders for October are due Friday, October 24th. 
• No school on Monday, October 27th. 
• Parent lunch day S-Z will be on Wednesday, October 29th. 
• Halloween Parties will be on Friday, October 31st. More information to come at a later date.
