Week of October 10th-14th

This week our theme was Community Helpers. We focused on the letter Cc, the number 7, the shape of a star and the color blue. I was gone on Monday and Tuesday for a teaching conference. This week I got a chance to sit down one on one with each kiddo for them to show me what they have learned this first quarter of school! I am beyond proud of each and every one of them! On Wednesday, we read "Pete the Cat: Firefighter Pete". The kids each picked a community helper and colored a headband that represented the community helper and some of their special items that go along with their job. On Thursday, we read "I Want a Hat Like That". During center time, we colored thank you cards for different community helpers. Friday morning we got to go to the Fire Station! We look a nice walk and got to see so much! We saw a firefighter put on all his gear, tour a fire truck and even sit in one! We also got to see the fire station's kitchen! For afternoon snack we had doughnuts to celebrate all of them being so good while I was gone early this week! I hope everyone has a great weekend! I will see you all on Tuesday! Enjoy the photos from the week!

If you are planning on joining us at Fischer Farms on Friday, let me know so we have an idea on how many chaperones will be meeting us there! Thank you! :)
