How is it October already?! This week our theme was Bats. We reviewed the letter Bb and learned the number 6, the color black and the shape of an oval. On Monday, we read "Fantastic Bats". During center time, the kids painted a toilet paper tube black and practiced their cutting to cut out wings for their bats. Once they were dry, they added eyes to complete their bats. On Tuesday, we began reading "Bats". During center time, the kids made shape bats! They picked a different shape body and added the wings and the eyes to their bat! Wednesday was national walk to school day so preschool decided that we would walk to school. We all started our morning with a walk to the Capitol and a walk back to school! On Wednesdsay, we also read the rest of our "Bats" book. During center time, the kids made bats out of their hand prints! On Thursday, we began reading "Bats". During center time, the kids turned into bats by making bat headbands. On Friday, we did our first ever P.E. class that we are going to start doing on Friday mornings with Ms. Jay's class! We stretched, ran an obstacle course and played a big game of Duck, Duck, Goose! What a fun way to start our Friday off! We also got a chance to play with playdough this afternoon!
