This week our theme was Winter! We focused on the letter Ww, the number 7, the color blue, and the shape of a circle. On Monday, we read "One Mitten". During center time, each kid got a chance to create one mitten of their own. On Tuesday, we read "Winter is Here". During center time, the kids painted their 14th letter for their alphabet book, which was W is for watercolor! We got a chance to look at all of the past letters that we have learned this school year! They were so excited to see how it has grown since we made their cover page back in August! On Wednesday, we read "Froggy Gets Dressed". During center time, the students used a white crayon to make a design on a winter hat. Once they had their design they used watercolors to paint over that and have their design pop out! It was so fun watching their reactions to telling me that they couldn't see the white crayon to painting it and it showing up. We also took full advantage of the nice weather on Wednesday and spent a lot of time outside. We played on our playground longer and played with chalk and bubbles. I hope everyone stayed safe and warm and enjoyed their snow day on Thursday. On Friday, we read "Wonderful Winter". During center time, we got a chance to play with "snow" made out of shaving cream. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I will see you all on Tuesday! Enjoy the photos from the week!
