This week our theme was Flowers and Butterflies. Our focuses of the week were the letter Ff, the color green, the number 9 and the shape of a triangle. On Tuesday, we read "Curious George Plants a Seed". During center time, the kiddos used the bingo dobbers to create the petals of their flowers! On Wednesday, we read " Once There Was a Caterpillar". We talked about how caterpillars turn into butterflies! During center time, the kids colored coffee filters with markers and once they were done they sprayed their filters with water to watch the colors run and mix together! Once the filters were dry I helped them clip their butterfly wings into a clothespin to make a butterfly! We also got a chance to watch the Harlem Wizards perform! We went on a walk around the Capitol with Ms. Jay's friends and even got to have our afternoon snack on the Capitol lawn because it was just such a nice day! On Thursday, we read "Seed to Plant". We learned all of the different parts of a flower! During center time, the kids used forks to make different flowers! They got to make a whole garden of flowers on their papers! On Friday, we celebrated Fun Friday! On Thursday, Ms. Jay showed us a blue mystery bag, which ended up being a parachute! We had a blast playing different games with the parachute! We ate our pizza in the prayer garden! We are loving this warm weather and enjoying all of our time we can spend outside in the beautiful weather! I hope everyone has a great weekend! I will see you all on Monday! Enjoy the photos from the week!
