Week of October 24th- October 28th

This week our theme was Boo, Ghosts! We focused on the letter Gg, the number 9, the shape of  a diamond, and the color white. On Monday, we read "The Bookstore Ghost". During center time, the kids used straws to blow around white paint to make ghosts! They then added eyes to the ghosts! On Tuesday, we read "Teeny Tiny Ghost". During center time, we worked on letter G alphabet page, G is for glitter! This was a fun one that ended up all over Mrs. Nikki. :) On Wednesday, we read "The Ghost Who is Afraid of the Dark". During center time, the students glued cotton balls to fill their ghosts and then added three circles for a mouth and eyes. On Thursday, we read "The Teeny Tiny Ghost". This one is different than the one we read on Tuesday so it was fun to compare the two teeny tiny ghosts! During center time, we painted using a sponge to paint our ghost white!

Thank you to all who joined me for conferences either in person, via email or over the phone! I always appreciate the home to school connection as it greatly benefits the students!
